ELABORATION
The grapes from the Cuesta la Reina estate, a hillside facing the sun with poor soils where the family has been cultivating the vineyard for four generations. A place from which very fine and elegant wines are obtained, capable of expressing all the character of the land in which they are grown.
Grapes harvested by hand and selected in the vineyards so that only the best quality bunches arrive at the winery. Fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. Once the fermentation is finished, it is macerated for at least 10 days. The wine is aged in American oak barrels with an average age of 5 years and remains in them for at least 14 months. During this time, three rackings are made. Once cleaned, the wine is bottled, remaining in the bottle before going on the market for at least 6 months
TASTING NOTES
Bright ruby red colour. Clean and complex on the nose, aromas of fruit well combined with fine oak wood tones that stand out notably. Well structured in the mouth, balanced and tasty. With great character and long persistence. Complex and elegant retro-nasal route, aromas of red fruits and touches of quality oak.
FOOD MATCH
Accompanies perfectly with semi aged (goat) cheeses, red meat, roasts, stews and game.
