THE ORIGIN

SINCE 1852, ACCOMPANYING YOU IN SPECIAL MOMENTS, MAKING EVERYDAY LIFE A SPECIAL OCCASION.

Surely, our great-grandfather never imagined how his passion would inspire his entire family. What started with the aim of sharing and celebrating with his friends has become a whole family of farmers, winemakers and oenologists working together to produce elegant wines that will delight you on any occasion.

Many things have happened since then, but the values of our family remain the same: respect for the natural and artisan in perfect harmony with innovation and continuous improvement, effort and perseverance to achieve products of authentic quality. Because our aim is to offer you wines that combine tradition and modernity, wines that make you enjoy, wines that tell their stories. Would you like to know more about us?

THE WINERIES

4 WINERIES, THE RESULT OF YEARS OF WORK AND EXPERIENCE.

A small cave dug out of the mountain was the place of origin of the family’s first wines. More than a century and a half later, the productions of cavas, wines, vermouths and olive oil have the same identity, enthusiasm and know-how passed down from father to son. A character of our own which, together with the freedom we have to manage all the stages from cultivation to production, allows us to act quickly and effectively in order to obtain top quality products.

A family project that has been growing and now counts with 4 wineries: Bodegas Escudero (Grávalos) dedicated to the production of Cavas, Bodegas Vinsacro (Pradejón) where the wines D.O.Ca. Rioja, Hacienda Logos (Castejón) and Bodegas Escudero (Monteagudo), the latter two belonging to D.O. Navarra.

VINEYARDS

CENTENARY VINEYARDS THAT REPRESENT THE ROOTS OF OUR HISTORY, SILENT WITNESSES OF THE FAMILY’S EVOLUTION.

Vidau is the name our ancestors gave to their most special estates where they cultivated different grape varieties. Centenary vineyards that we continue to care for with respect for the land and its environment in order to obtain grapes of excellent quality with which we make unique wines, full of nuances and with a personality capable of captivating the most demanding palates.

The 198 hectares of vineyards and 54 hectares of olive groves are our priority. We strive for a natural balance, favouring the biodiversity of the ecosystems. To achieve this balance, we fertilise the crops with earthworm hummus. We use biological pest control techniques and maintain plant covers on all our crops to prevent soil erosion.
